Hello, My name is Gursham Singh. I am a Junior Developer based in Nottingham.
My passion for development began as I was taking steps towards a degree in Sociology. In which I discovered Codecademy and W3Schools and started to play around with the tools that make up the backbone of web development. This then blossomed into a fascination with development, leading to watching video tutorials into the night and dreaming of bugs to debug. I then sought out professional advice from a developer who advised me that a boot camp would provide me with the necessary tools I would need to progress and having now graduating from General Assembly.
It was at General Assembly where I learnt how to use JS, React, Python and more and combine them to create a variety of projects. Ever since I have not looked back, each day, as I learn more code and uncover new bugs, my zeal and passion for pursuing a career in software development grows even greater. Now my goal is to make strides in my development capabilities and grow as a developer.
SKILLS.
Although JavaScript is my favoured language, I have experience in the following. I am always developing my skills further. Currently I am doing CodeWars and learning Next.js
PROJECTS.
Trippy-Maps
As a group of four we were given just over a week to create a full-stack MERN app with CRUD functionality, we decided to use mapbox and create a site in which users could see places they could visit other then the popular generic parts of london. Other functionalities include signing in and being able to put your own suggestions up for others to see.
Project Expo
The final project of the General Assembly course we were given just over a week to a full-stack app with CRUD functionality similar to project 3, however we built the back-end using Django and Python. For this project we decided to create a site in which GA students can upload completed projects and GA instructors can easily access them and reference back to show students examples and provide insiration for newer students.

Star Wars has been part of my life since I was a kid, favorite movie would be The Empire Strikes Back.
Formula Racing
Recently over the last year or so i have been following Formula 1, 2 and 3 and have grown a real strong interest and passion for racing, I have goals to visit some of the most popular Grand Prix around the world in the future.
Playing Pool.
As a kid we had a table at home and I used to practice everyday, now it has become a hobby to play from time to time to destress.
Watching Football.
Ive recently grew an interest in watching Football, supporting Manchester United, I found it a way to unwind and have fun.
